Serve With Us
Everyone Is Gifted and Needed
God has blessed each of us with gifts that help us reach out, build the Church, and be released to the ends of the earth. Whether it’s offering a warm welcome to a visitor as a part of the welcome team or serving with the community, it all matters.
Membership is not a requirement for serving in all areas within Parkside Church Westside, but it is for some. The form below provides a list of some of our routine or regular opportunities to serve.
Nursery & Children
Be part of a team as a teacher or helper that serves once a month with children from birth-5th grade. We provide all of the training and materials that you need. As part of our screening process a background check is required to serve in this area.
Serving as an adult leader is a great way to connect with our student ministry for grades 6-12. Build relationships and help students become committed followers of Jesus Christ. As part of our screening process a background check is required to serve in this area.
Help serve our local Lakewood community by volunteering to deliver hot lunches to home-bound Lakewood seniors. Volunteers deliver lunch as well as companionship to one of the most vulnerable and the most appreciative groups of people who can easily become socially isolated.

As a church family, we want to share in the joys and burdens of each other's lives and one way you can do that is by providing meals to Parkside Westside families in need. Sign up through the Meals Team group by logging into our online community to receive notifications about needs as they arise.
Let us know if you've got experience running a soundboard or can run PowerPoint slides during a Sunday service. We're also happy to train you if you're interested.
If you are vocally or musically* gifted, then our Sunday morning music team may be the place for you to serve. We aren’t looking for performers, but for those who are able to stand up front and yet fall into the background as they lead.
*Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboard, Drums
Our prayer team prays for people and the specific needs of our church. They receive regular emails that include matters for prayer and are part of our routine church prayer meetings.
Set-up & Tear-Down Team
Our set-up and tear-down team arrives at 8:30am on a Sunday morning to get things ready for our service and then sticks around until 11:45am to help us pack up. People serve on a rotating basis about once a month.
Drivers: We need people who can drive our van that tows our equipment trailer. Drivers pick up the van and trailer around 8:00am on Sunday mornings and serve about once a month. Some experience is recommended, but our parking place is super easy to access.

Greeters: These are the first people to say hello to those on a Sunday morning and help answer questions for those folks who are new to Westside. Greeter teams serve on a rotating basis.
Ushers: Our friendly ushers help out during the Sunday service by passing out printed materials and guiding people to a seat. Ushering teams serve on a rotating basis.
Coffee Baristas (Tear-down Team): Help us with our coffee bar by helping us pack up the equipment after service. The coffee team serves on a rotating basis.
