Welcome JJ Sherwood
JJ is the lead pastor of Five Points Community Church in Auburn Hills, MI, and a longtime friend of Matt McAlvey. JJ and his wife Becky have three children; Grace, Norah, and Owen. We are grateful to have JJ here to preach today.
Common Threads Collection - May 5th
If you have been spring cleaning, we have the perfect place to donate your bags and boxes of home goods. Parkside Westside will be participating in a clothing & home goods drive to collect items for Building Hope in the City's thrift store, Common Threads. Not just clothing from closets, but furniture small enough to fit in your car, lamps, dishes, cooking equipment, towels, sheets, pillows, blankets, etc. Bring your donations with you on Sunday, May 5th, and drop them off at the collection vehicle in the parking lot.
Young Adult BBQ and Bonfire - May 11th
All young adult ages 18-30ish are invited for a BBQ and bonfire on Saturday, May 11th, at 5:00pm at 6025 East Law Rd., Valley City, 44280. Food will be provided, but feel free to bring a side dish. Carpooling would be appreciated and please RSVP to Lydia via text at 440-283-5237.
Parkside Westside Playgroup - May 15th
Join the moms, dads, and caregivers of preschool aged children (ages birth-preschool) for some purposeful play alongside your child and his/her peers. We will meet in the lower level on Wednesday, May 15th at 10:30am. We will have stations set up and have some time of song and stories. Feel free to pack your lunches and stick around after to eat together. Hope to see you there!
International Women's Tea - May 17th
Ladies, join us for tea and pastries as we seek to have friendly conversations with women wanting to learn or improve their English. No English As A Second Language training is required, just come and engage in friendly conversation. We'll meet at 10:30am in the lower level on Friday, May 17th. Contact if you plan to attend.
Parkside at Prayer - May 19th
Join us as we share a meal and pray together on Sunday, May 19th at 5:00pm in the lower level. Please bring a side or accompaniment for the meal and RSVP to Matt if you plan to attend.
LCSC Personal Care Items Collection - May 19th/26th
We will be collecting personal care items---mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, razors, etc. to donate to the Lakewood Community Services Center. LCSC provides basic needs and resources to our neighbors. Regular sizes preferred over family-sized/bulk packaging. Please place your donated items in the collection totes located in the lower level on Sunday, May 19th or May 26th. Contact with questions.
Action Day Camp - June 10th-14th
Registration for Action Day Camp is now open! Action Day Camp will take place this summer from June 10th-14th. ADC is for all students who have just finished Kindergarten through 5th grade. The day starts with mornings at Vacation Bible Camp at Parkside Church in Bainbridge, and continues through the afternoon with field trips to fun places in the greater Cleveland area. Wheelchair Lift - Out of Service
We regret to inform you that our wheelchair lift is currently inoperable due to mechanical issues. Unfortunately, due to the complexity of the repairs and logistical challenges, it may take a few months before we are able to replace it. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
