Urgent Volunteer Opportunities

During the past week we've been working with the Lakewood Dept of Human Services to determine how we might best be able to serve our community. On the form below are several TIME-SENSITIVE opportunities to assist some of Lakewood's elderly citizens who rely on weekly distributions of food. Please consider helping out, if you are able. If you have been experiencing any signs of illness, we encourage you to allow others to serve at this time, because of the vulnerable position of the people we'll be serving.
We realize that there are various comfort levels regarding contact with others, and we all need to take proper precautions to safeguard ourselves and our loved ones. Some of us are at great risk and need to avoid ANY contact with others. All of us, then, have to determine for ourselves and our families the best and safest ways to look after those who are in need. That being said, there are many who count on these distributions from Lakewood for their regular, daily meals, so receiving them is a necessity.
