If you'd like to take the next step toward membership at Parkside Westside, please join us for a brief class after the first service on Sunday, December 7th at 10:45am in Room 210. Caroling and Cookies - December 7th
Join us on Sunday, December 7th as we spread some holiday cheer at Haven at Lakewood senior living residence. Our plan is to provide lunch in the lower level after the 11:00am service. Then we’ll practice a few Christmas carols together and head over to Haven just before 2:00pm. We’ll sing our carols for the residents, have a short Christmas talk, and enjoy some cookies with them. We ask that each family bakes some Christmas cookies to share. Sign-up here if you plan to join us.
Westside Students: Special Events Night- December 7th
This Sunday evening, four separate events for students will be held in place of typical Sunday evening gatherings. Events are split according to age and gender. The times are the same as usual, but the locations and activities are different! (So, be sure not to drop your student off at the church building.) There is no cost to attend. Click here for details regarding your student's special event.
Parkside Westside Playgroup - December 10th
Join the moms, dads, and caregivers of preschool aged children (ages birth-preschool) for some purposeful play alongside your child and his/her peers. Feel free to pack your lunches and stick around after to eat together. Hope to see you there!
Advent Vespers - December 10th and 18th
The word “vespers” means evening prayer. Going back for many centuries Christians have gathered for vespers as a means of spiritual formation in the context of community. Join us at 6:30pm in the auditorium on Wednesday, December 10th, and Thursday, December 18th as we gather and reflect upon the incarnation and life of our Lord Jesus. We'll have a time of scripture reflection, prayer, and singing.
Students Christmas Party - December 14th
Students in grades 6-12 are invited to join us from 5-7:00pm on December 14th for an evening of games, food, and fun together as we celebrate Jesus's birth. This is a great event for inviting friends! Students should bring a wrapped gift for our "white elephant" gift exchange. This doesn't need to be anything fancy; sometimes goofy gifts are the best. Maximum gift value is $10. Christmas sweaters or pajamas are encouraged but not required. There will be a prize awarded to the most festively dressed. Dinner will be provided. RSVP to Nate.
Holiday Children's Ministry - December 28th
Just a friendly reminder that children's ministry is only offered for nursery, toddlers, and special needs children during holiday weekends. This will include December 28th for Christmas. Our Youth Neighborhood is also on break during holiday weekends.
