Exhortation and Encouragement

In this final sermon the pastor offered both an exhortation and an encouragement from Acts 13:13–43. He urged the congregation to read the Bible with Jesus at the center, recognizing that the Scriptures ultimately tell a unified story of God’s redemptive work fulfilled in Christ. Paul’s sermon in Acts served as a model, showing how the events of Israel’s history point forward to Jesus as the promised Savior. The pastor also encouraged believers to rest in the assurance that their sins are fully forgiven through Jesus—not because of personal merit, but entirely by God’s grace. Like a long-awaited letter delivered personally and intimately, the gospel is God’s message of love sent directly to us: assuring, inviting, and calling us to rest in the finished work of Christ.
