The pastor also encouraged believers to rest in the assurance that their sins are fully forgiven through Jesus—not because of personal merit, but entirely by God’s grace. Like a long-awaited letter delivered personally and intimately, the gospel is God’s message of love sent directly to us: assuring, inviting, and calling us to rest in the finished work of Christ.
