When God Wrote Himself into the Story

This Christmas Eve sermon shows how God enters the world by writing himself into the story at the very moment human hopes seem shattered. Joseph’s plans collapse when Mary is found to be pregnant, yet in that place of confusion and pain, God reveals a deeper reality: this child is conceived by the Holy Spirit and named Jesus because he will save his people from their sins. Through divine revelation, Joseph’s understanding of Mary, of himself, and of God’s purposes is reoriented, and he discovers that what appears to be loss is actually the beginning of redemption. The sermon calls hearers to see Christmas as the moment when the Author of life enters his own story to save, to trust God’s work in the unexpected, and to step by faith into the story he is writing for our redemption.
