Christmas Store 2020

New Look, Same Christmas Cheer
Parkside Church Westside will team up once again this year with the Lakewood City Schools and the City of Lakewood's Department of Human Services, along with several other civic organizations, to assist families in need through the Lakewood Christmas Store. Like most things this year, The Christmas Store will look different as a result of COVID-19 concerns, but we trust that the store will still be able to provide some warmth and cheer for the families who participate.

What’s Different This Year?
This year, each child registered for the Christmas Store through Lakewood Schools will receive a Christmas stocking filled with age-appropriate gifts and goodies. In addition, Parkside Westside will provide each family with a WalMart gift card to purchase gifts for their children, and Lakewood Human Services will donate a Giant Eagle gift card to help with holiday groceries.

How Can You Help?
There are several ways that you can help with this year’s Christmas Store.

> Each of our Community Groups will be purchasing small items to fill stockings for all the children registered for the store through the schools. Group leaders are sharing their lists with group members as they meet this month. Not involved in a community group? Here’s the Stocking Stuffer List - just purchase something and drop it off in the appropriate bin in the chapel at the church building sometime before Thanksgiving.

> Make a dozen Christmas cards! We'd love to distribute cards of love and cheer along with the Christmas gifts, so please make a few if you're able and drop them off in the collection bin in the Chapel. If you have any questions, email Paula at

> Tuesday, December 1, from 1-3, be a Stocking Stuffer! Join us in the lower level of the building to stuff all the stockings with Christmas joy (and goodies)! Last year over 250 children received gifts through the Christmas Store, so we need your help to fill all those stockings with treasures! Please sign-up here and email Rebecca at   if you have any questions.

> Finally, you can sign-up for a slot to help during the Christmas Store hours, when we’ll distribute the stockings, gift cards, and treats to all the families. The Christmas Store will operate in a drive-through fashion in our parking lot at the church.

Saturday, Dec 5 (10 AM - 2 PM)
Tuesday, Dec 8 (10 AM - 2 PM)
Saturday, Dec 12 (10 AM - 2 PM)
Tuesday, Dec 15 (10 AM - 2 PM)

We ask that volunteers at all events wear masks. Hand sanitizer will be available, and we’ll encourage everyone to observe appropriate social distancing.

If you are able to help us out at any of the above events located at the church, we ask that you would use the NW door facing Hilliard Rd (typically the exit door on Sundays) and head straight downstairs where our Christmas Store Headquarters are located! There will be signage to guide you.

Merry Christmas!
Though different this year because of the circumstances, we hope that The Christmas Store will continue to be a visible demonstration of Christ’s love to all the families who participate. We hope that many of you will join us this year for The Christmas Store 2020! If you have any questions, please contact Jeff Port at 216-430-0585 Ext. 3, or email jeff@parksidechurchwestside.com.
