About Us

We are...

We are a non-denominational, Bible-teaching church plant in partnership with Parkside Church in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Parkside began in 1968 as a small group of people, committed to the preaching and teaching of God’s Word, who met weekly for prayer and Bible study on Cleveland’s East Side. This devoted group faithfully served Christ and set in place the convictions upon which the church is built. God has blessed the people of Parkside in numerous ways, most notably through the expansion of ministries which has been an answer to collective prayer of seeing unbelieving people become committed followers of Jesus Christ.

Parkside's leadership team has prayerfully discussed the desire to plant additional locations that would eventually become independent Bible-teaching churches that share our same conviction and confidence in the authority and sufficiency of God’s Word in all levels of ministry. God has guided our regional presence in Northeast Ohio with the addition of Parkside Church Green Campus (2009) and Shoreline Church (2012). Most recently, Parkside is in the process of planting an east side location, Parkside Heights (2021).

The vision for an increased regional gospel influence within Northeast Ohio continues to unfold with the establishment of Parkside Church Westside (2015), and it is with great anticipation that we believe the best is yet to come...

We Desire...

We desire to see the Holy Spirit bring together people from our community and beyond who are diverse in age, ethnicity, and economic background, but are united through the saving grace of Jesus Christ and committed to praising God the Father forever.

We Are Here...

We are here to glorify God by helping people become committed followers of Jesus Christ.

What Is Most Important to Us...

We are confident that God's Word is central, authoritative, powerful, and sufficient to help people flourish as they come to faith and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

We are dedicated to sharing life in smaller groups in order to prayerfully help one another become committed followers of Jesus Christ by using our God-given gifts to build up one another.

We are convinced that through God's Spirit and our grace-empowered effort, we can make progress in turning away from the brokenness of sin and be transformed into people who love God and love one another.

We will be diligent to align ourselves with God's standards in the everyday events of life in order that we may live godly lives, being ready to share the good news of Jesus Christ with people in our community.

Statement of Faith

We believe that the Bible is the story of God's love and faithfulness to his people. It is the grand narrative of how God made it right, how He is making it right, and how He will one day make it right, finally and forever.

The Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are verbally inspired by God, infallible, and therefore, are without error in the original writings, and are of supreme and final authority. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Isaiah 40:8; John 20:31; Psalm 19:7)

In one God eternally existing in one essence, yet co-equal persons, the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Colossians 1:16-17; 1 Timothy 1:17)

That Jesus Christ was begotten by God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the Virgin Mary. (Isaiah 53:10-12; Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:1,14; 10:30)

In the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He is the life of the believer and He empowers the preaching and teaching of the Gospel. (John 14:16-17, 26; 15:26; Romans 8:9, 14-17; Galatians 5:22-26)

That mankind was created in the image of God, sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but spiritual death, which is separation from God, and that human beings are born with a sinful nature. (Genesis 1:26-27; 2:17; 3:1-7; John 5:24; Romans 3:9-23; 5:12-19; Ephesians 2:1-3)

That the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood. (John 3:16, 36; Romans 3:24-26; 5:1-21; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-6; Hebrews 9:27-28)

In the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, His ascension into heaven and His present life there as High Priest and Advocate for us. (John 20:11-18; Acts 1:9; Hebrews 10:19-25; I John 2:1-2)

In the blessed hope, which is the personal, visible, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (John 14:3; Matthew 24:36; 25:31; Titus 2:13)

That all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God and heirs of eternal life. (John 1:12-13; 3:5-6; Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 11:6)

In the existence of a personal devil, who is still working in the world to destroy the souls of men and women and that he and all his angels and all who do not receive Christ as their personal Savior will eternally perish in the lake of fire. (Genesis 3; Job 1:6-12; Acts 5:3; Luke 16:19-31; Matthew 25:31-45)

In the Church, whose mission it is to make disciples of all nations, and to preach the Scriptures to all peoples and all its endeavors being guided by the plurality of elders in leadership and supported by the wise stewardship of God's people. (Matthew 28:18-20; I Corinthians 1:23; I Timothy 3:1-7; Acts 20:36-37; I Timothy 5:17-19)

That the ordinances of the Church, given by the Lord, are Baptism and the Lord's Table (Communion). (Acts 2:38; I Corinthians 11:17-29)
