Daylight Saving Time Begins on Sunday, March 11
Don't want to miss church this Sunday? Be sure to set your clocks ahead one hour before going to bed on Saturday night this weekend otherwise you'll arrive just in time to help the tear-down team on Sunday morning.
Fun Facts About Daylight Saving Time
- It began on March 19, 1918, as a way to preserve coal. Happy Birthday, DST!
- Hawaii and Arizona don't observe it (sunshine show offs!) and Florida would like to be the first state to keep it year round
- The Department of Transportation is in charge of time zones, including daylight saving time. (There must be a joke about commuting in there somewhere...)
- Bummed that you lose an hour of sleep? You'll get it back on November 4, 2018.
Hope to see you Sunday!
