Baptism Preparation Workshop: August 6 & 13
On August 20, we will celebrate baptisms. To help you prepare, we will have a two-part preparation workshop on August 6 and 13. If you are interested in being baptized, please register by August 1 and plan to attend both classes. We'll provide lunch and help you work through the Biblical material related to baptism.
Parkside at Prayer: August 6
Everyone is welcome to join us for this hour of prayer on August 6 at 5pm at the McAlvey's home (1296 Hall Ave., Lakewood, 44107). We will pray together and then have dinner for anyone who'd like to stick around for another hour. Please send Matt a quick

Do You Control Your Phone -- Or Does Your Phone Control You?
It might be the middle of summer, but there's still time to read one more good book before Labor Day arrives and we have one to recommend -- 12 Ways Your Phone Is Changing You, by Tony Reinke. Pick up a copy and join us for a book-club style get-together at the end of August. Books will be made available at church on Sundays. A $5 donation is requested to cover the cost of the book. Discussions will be held on August 20, 27, and 31, at 6:30pm at the church offices (15529 Madison Ave., Unit 1, Lakewood, 44107). You only need to attend one, but are welcome to attend as many as you’d like. Light refreshments will be provided.
EOS Youth Retreat: August 26-27
The EOS Retreat is an overnight trip for all students entering grades 6-12. We’ll spend time playing games and soaking up the sun and water at Chautauqua Lake, while building friendships and diving into the Bible together. For more information, or to register, visit parksidechurchwestside.com/EOS.
