Membership Class - October 2nd
If you'd like to take the next step toward membership at Parkside Westside, please join us for a brief class after the first service on Sunday, October 2nd in Room 210. We'll spend some time looking at what it means to shift our focus from "me" to "we." Sign-up here if you plan to attend.
Parkside Play Group - October 5th
Join the moms, dads, and caregivers of preschool aged children (ages birth-preschool) for some purposeful play alongside your child and his/her peers. We will meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10:30am-12:00pm in the lower level. We will have stations set up and have some time of song and stories. Women's Gathering - October 7th
Join the women of Parkside Westside for their first Friday of the month gathering on October 7th at 6:30pm in the lower level. We will hear a speaker on her heroes, hardships, and highlights. We will have time for conversation and discussion. Whether you are new to Westside or have been attending for years, we hope to see you there! Feel free to bring an appetizer or dessert to share. Community Works Crew - October 9th
We will be collecting personal care items (e.g., shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, etc.) to donate to the Lakewood Community Services Center (LCSC). LCSC provides basic needs and resources to our neighbors. Please place your donated items in the collection totes located in the lower level on Sunday, October 9th. Questions? Contact
Parkside at Prayer - October 9th
Join us as we share a meal and pray together on Sunday, October 9th at 5:00pm in the lower level. Chili will be provided. Please bring a side or accompaniment for the meal and to Matt if you plan to attend.
Men's Gathering - October 13th
Join the men of Westside as we gather to look at God's Word together and hear one of the men present his Testimony. We will meet on Thursday, October 13th at 6:30pm in the lower level. There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion and fellowship. Invite a friend! RSVP to David Hess.
Community Works Crew - October 15th
Lakewood Alive needs our help with set-up and tear-down for the Spooky Pooch Parade on Saturday, October 15th at Madison Park. The event consists of a festival at the park from 12:30-3:30pm, and a costumed dog parade around the neighborhood at 2:00pm. If you can spare an hour or so before or after the event to aid the community vendors with their loads, sign up HERE. PLEASE SIGN UP BY OCTOBER 10th. Contact Ruth Yarnevic with questions.
Common Threads Clothing Drive - October 23rd
Parkside Westside will be participating in a clothing & home goods drive to collect items for Building Hope in the City's thrift store, Common Threads. Please feel free to bring your donations with you Sunday, October 23rd and drop them off at the collection vehicle in the parking lot between 8:30am-12:00pm. Contact Kim Moore with questions.
