Westside Youth Neighborhood
Westside Youth Neighborhood (grades 6-12) will be taking a break this week. Our next get together will be on Dec. 3 at the Cottendens.
An Advent Reading Plan
Parents, we are excited to provide you with a fun and free resource to help you celebrate Advent with your family. “Advent: The Christmas Journey” is an activity booklet and reading plan that takes you through the season of Advent beginning on Dec. 1. With a picture for your children to color each day, along with a Bible story for you to read together, our hope is that by reading stories from the entirety of the Bible your family will see together that the coming of Jesus was prophesied and anticipated long before His arrival, and that the Christmas story doesn't begin with Mary and Joseph, but begins in Genesis 3. Pick up your copy at the Welcome Area on Sunday!
First Steps Luncheon - Dec. 3
If you’ve recently started attending Parkside Church Westside, then join us for a First Steps Luncheon after the service on Dec. 3 at the church offices. We'll provide lunch after a Sunday service and will introduce you to some on our church leadership team. The lunch is free, and we just need your RSVP.
Lakewood Home-delivered Meals
As a local church, we have been praying for opportunities to serve and meet the needs of our community. One such need can be found among Lakewood's home-bound senior citizens, and we are happy to highlight a volunteer opportunity with Lakewood's home-delivered meals program. Through Lakewood's Division of Aging, volunteers deliver hot lunches to Lakewood's older residents who are struggling with the challenges of living on their own yet with limited mobility. Watch this brief video to learn more, or contact Barry Weymss at (216) 529-5005 or
to get started today!
Women's Prayer Time - Dec. 13
All women are invited to join us on Dec. 13 at 7pm at Mandy Hockenberger's home ( 8625 Hollis Lane, Brecksville, OH 44141) as we meet together to pray for Parkside Church Westside. We will unite our voices in prayer asking for God's continued guidance as we help people become committed followers of Jesus Christ.
Serve with Us — Set-up/Tear-down Team
Can you help once a month on a Sunday morning? If you’re looking for a place to serve, consider joining our Set-up/Tear-down Team. Our goal is to have volunteers serve on a once-a-month basis, and our Set-up/Tear-down Team could use a few more volunteers to help make that possible. Sign up online, or email the church office to learn more.
